PI future plans

In the longer term we hope the public involvement implementation group (PIIG) and research advisors will support us in:

  • demonstrating the benefits of public involvement(PI) – acting as PI ‘ambassadors’, producing case studies
  • collecting information and best practice – monitoring the consistency of involvement, lay summaries, keeping up-to-date with the evidence base
  • collecting feedback on experiences
  • monitoring representation – reviewing who is involved in QORU’s work and focusing recruitment, if necessary
  • development of future PI practice – considering the on-going resource implications of establishing a fully effective PI programme/strategy and developing processes and methods to valuate
